I think the intention of the rule is good. We wouldn't like it if guys could just jump anyone anytime. To retaliate with a fight for what the referees determined to be a clean hit should result in an extra penalty.

I should know better by now, but I couldn't believe that conversation. That was textbook instigating. It was immediate retaliation for a clean hit. It doesn't get simpler than that.

Berube has these guys playing the most boring style of play (please fire him yesterday!) and Willy is the only guy who seems to be able to create anything in spite of it.
