The night comes quickly now, and it was awesome to welcome it over us at Kaloko Inlet. We focused on removing buffel grass today followed by a visit around the site and sharing moʻolelo, oral history of the area and those who have found themselves within. Wonderful work gang!

Happy early Thanksgiving to this tremendous team today! 🧡🦃 We had lots of folks joining us thanks to the holiday week and we went right to work cleaning up rubbish and removing invasive plants. So nice to take time and talk story about the native plants and sharing stories on this special space.

A wonderful Tuesday this week of Thanksgiving! 🦃 We split into rubbish and invasive plants teams and everyone did solid work. Recent rains have woken native plant seeds and have given us a hint of what's to come in newly opened areas. Everyone had fun pulling out the koa haole roots as well.

Nice conditions but per usual there were a lot of fishermen with live lines that got very agitated if we got close to shore. We stayed on the outskirts and picked up a ton of homemade lead, slide bait tackle and hooks.
