Leaders increasingly fuse faith with citizenship, using religious language to legitimize political agendas. When religious authority entwines with power, democracy erodes and pluralism fades.

🔎 Why it matters:
Christian nationalism ≠ mainstream Christianity. It pushes the idea that Christian identity should dictate law & policy, marginalising anyone who doesn’t share it. This conflation endangers pluralism & religious freedom.
