What year was this? Late 1970's or early 1980's?

Thanks for the response. I have an old Timex from the late 70s. It still works great, gains fewer than 20 seconds a day. I'm not a collector but I really like purely mechanical watches.

At least your watch is easy to read (with practice). I have an old watch with gold hands on a nearly gold background. I need a few seconds just to locate the hands. 😉
