Automated hiring options existed before 'AI' and I'm unconvinced of its efficacy now. Moreover, I dislike agreements with tricky sentence structures.

If a candidate opts out of allowing 'AI' to analyze their application, will they be considered? This seems very masculine energy to me.

Glad Samsung takes password security so seriously🙄

I think Proton is an easy service to use for people new to encryption and self-owned data management.

This “clipboard loophole” happens on other password managers as well. In Bitwarden, go to Settings --> Autofill & change clear clipboard timing.

Which map program do you use and why?

I've tried different methods for years in the pursuit of better privacy and tracking.

I will use satellite-based GPS often. Sometimes I'll put my phone in a black-out bag for data retention.

This is an audit of Zoom for Android in August 2022. The iOS version isn't nearly as risky looking. According to ISL, 19 companies were associated with network traffic, and 5 of them were data brokers. 25 risky subdomains and 8 of them were data brokers.

You don't need to understand the technical aspects when comparing the differences. Consider what Threema provides to protect their user, compared to WhatsApp. WhatsApp centers their company and advertising model first, that's the difference. Some people call that surveillance capitalism.

Reading the Ars Technica article is revealing.

It prompts the question, what type of security and privacy do you expect from an app like WhatsApp?

Do you know about your social graph? Maintaining your privacy gives you power, protects your freedom, and saves you money. I like Simplex Messenger because it's quantum resistant, and it has no user IDs.

I found it curious these people appeared publicly. I think they did so with the consideration that despite public backlash, their companies and wealth would remain unaffected.

That's a radical statement. You can't give us up even if you don't like us.

Do we want these people to rule our lives?

Yes, I have examples, and I appreciate your reply! My original post was less detailed, and I think going forward I will use short form content in better ways to support and critique privacy-friendly projects.

Search results were less accurate in smaller cities with perhaps less common search terms.

Okay okay, finally reading this, and almost halfway through. Really good stuff here! I'm implementing some of the habit forming templates.

I freakin love this! 🤓

198 Methods of Nonviolent Action by the Albert Einstein Institute. This is a great thought experiment, especially for those who are new to it.

I'm considering ways in which these might be decolonized.

I've had this book for years and finally read the first 50 pages, and I'm really enjoying it!

We need to focus on systems, not goals. Goals are good, but we must understand that forming habits are about identity shifts.

Reading the new Microsoft Privacy Policy.

I don't always understand these things, though I think it's important to read what I agree to. The part about who and how Microsoft can share my personal data, seems to include practically everyone in any situation 🤷‍♀️
