It all started with Reagan many years ago. When he deregulated the media, he gave the purveyors of lies, conspiracies, and misinformation the freedom to do and say whatever they wanted.

Free speech is a beautiful thing, but when a billionaire thinks his voice is more valuable than yours and steps on your opinion using their vast wealth it creates an inequality that we really need to address.

Earnest post, but: a thing I like here is it’s okay to have moments of happiness in public without being broadly scolded, and I believe that sustaining this kind of humanity will be very important as we resist fascism.
