Power delivery, resonance, vibration, weight distro, etc are all part of the engine & all have follow on effects on how the bike will be built, & all of it has to be tested.
The engine is built first, then every part you mentioned is built around it, but you have to have a good engine to start!

Most impressive racer for me was Fabio di Giannantonio with just five crashes, considering he was usually always in the top 10 to podium contention and finished 6th overall.

Also, if someone takes you out, this shouldn’t be counted against you as a crash.

Never been a fan of including crashes from practices. This is the time you are doing setup changes and pushing to find the limit.
I mean, why not include crashes from test days too?
Only timed Q sessions and races should count, as those crashes actually mean something to the championship.

Yeah, i watched the replays from several angles & Miller was in front, before the apex. Fermin knew Miller had the line & Fermin should have lifted up, to cede the spot. Instead, he leaned into Miller.
Bad call. That said, I would say overall, 2025 has been a pretty fair year on penalties!
