Just another middle aged dude, trying to be a better version of himself.

Running, Cooking, Music, Dodgers, Sneakers and an occasional dash of unseriousness.
LMAO! Man, I think I’m gonna take an extra trazodone and just try and sleep through it 😂

You got this!

Thanks Bro! Sub 4 was the goal, I was actually holding a better pace until maybe mile 21, and got a cramp I didn’t wanna try and get cute with, so I backed off a bit…but it all worked out, so no complaints from me!

I say this as a native Californian, who LOVES Californian wines above all others…but the vast majority of wineries in CA are owned by the most ruby-red shitbags you’ve ever had the misfortune of meeting…def sucks for their employees though.

Ha! And I even walked right past a Tony’s display when I was shopping the other day, and didn’t think to grab some backup…so this is 100% my bad 😂

Like, if I didn’t know any better, I’d swear it was a parody account…whoever he has running his social media needs to be fired immediately.

An absolute S tier cereal! If I’m just totally hitting the pause button for the day on calorie tracking, my favorite is to mix it with Reese’s puffs and Oreo O’s…then add chocolate milk, or if I’m really feeling spicy, I will make a pot of Abuelita in advance so I can use that in place of milk.

Oh I’m too down to give it a try…of course we have the whole Tampa v Miami debate in my house when it comes to Cuban sandwiches, so we may need to experiment with a couple different versions…we also Sat and had a brainstorming sesh about picadillo pizza today too…think that’s GOTTA happen 😂

This right here…it’s like the kids who got shoved in lockers, and the bullies who were doing the shoving teamed up…and none of them are very bright…and they don’t seem to have an actual plan other than “mess up everything”…like, I really thought societal downfall would me more “theatrical” than this

Ah yes, nothing like closing the barn AFTER the stampede, right? 🙄

If only somebody would have let them know what he was planning 🤔

That is, most definitely, the question…I think for me, that’s the reason for bouncing back and forth between the two…they both have their place, but sticking with one for too long always ends up being unnecessarily stressful.

This conversation and one I had with my wife, got me thinking…her and I were talking about how Tampa and Miami both have their own kinda weird versions of “Cuban pizza”, but what would the official one be? Now I’m wondering; picadillo pizza, might be a concept worth exploring.

I go through waves of that, myself…sometimes I actually find it helpful in that there’s far less need to rely on motivation, because, (at least for me) the weird need to “keep up with the pack” sometimes works just as well, and is like always kinda present…at least until I remember that it’s me v me
February 1, 2025 at 5:06 AM
Def taking the one on the right…like, I choose ZERO sides in any of the regional pizza debates, most all serve a purpose (except for some of the really weird ones)…but still, I can fully acknowledge that NY style is objectively superior…

That’s still a pretty solid run. I don’t think I could ever give up red-meat completely, but I will challenge myself to go a week (sometimes two) in between eating it…and yeah when the craving hits, it’s a really difficult one to ignore.

I make picadillo with Beyond meat sometimes…it definitely scratches the itch just as much as when I make it with regular meat.

See…now that might be an interesting kitchen throw down, just because there’s so many different styles/customs depending on who is making it.

Okay, so you must have been reading my mind, I got the stuff to make Palomilla tomorrow, and I’m kicking myself for deciding to go with moros and yellow rice as my side instead of yucca or tostones…eh I’m gonna treat myself to a few untracked days after Mesa, so I’ll make it happen!
