Mr. Ziptie isn’t thrilled with the heat today, so he’s chilling under the pergola in the shade. Guarding 3 feeders in this heat takes a lot out of a guy!

I’m not sure how I feel about this. It DEFINITELY was not what any of us suspected in my family, and it was a surprise to the woman I adopted him from, too! 😂 We were positive he was a mix, especially because he’s huge. He outweighs his sister by 10 pounds now!

I haven’t seen this Zynga pen in at least 10 years, but somehow the new puppy had it; in some ways it’s bittersweet, because Barley was probably about his age when I got it. 🌈 He spent most of his puppyhood at the Zynga offices!

Tiny woman vs. giant cholla cactus part 2 - still winning! (Admittedly, I do get my manly man partner to handle the lignified branches that are too big for the loppers. 😂) As magnificent as it is, if anyone ever falls into it, it could kill them. 😱🌵☠️

Beautiful sunset in San Diego yesterday to honor a family member’s passing! On the way back to L.A. now to get back on fire watch for the next round - ngl, I’m worried. We’re much too close to the forest for comfort. 😩

This is a sad post, but I wanted to put it here because so many people knew my dogs for so many years through my stream - Barley, Molly, and Mr. Growley.
On Friday, all 3 crossed the bridge. It was at home, peaceful and painless thanks to a wonderful vet, but my heart is just so shattered. 💔

My mom worked for Remington Rand UNIVAC. She just passed away on Friday and I found this pin today with her jewelry. :) The photo is of her first UNIVAC training class at Perdue.

This is my second favorite photo of her. This was her first Remington-Rand Univac computer training class in the late 50’s as well. She said the second class was taught by a woman and had more women attending, but I just love this pic so much. 😂

My beautiful mother (90, seen here in 1958) has declined very rapidly and is in her final day or two, which in some ways is a blessing because she never had any real dementia. 65 years of smoking has finally caught up with her - note the smokes on the table. :)
