like this just make you look immature who just get obsessed with their favourite thing and lose the ability to engage with literally anything else at all. Same category as disney adults or potterheads except you're obsessed with a more "intellectual" thing.

But yeah when I eventually had a purchasing capacity in steam it became so, so much better. I partly miss the feeling of physical stores from that era but streaming has genuinely been much better for me. And if I don't find it in streaming (or too expensive) I still opt for piracy.

I tried looking for physical game shops in delhi that sold PC games but by then the PC physical market was long dead and Steam had taken over. So there were a number of years in which I didn't really play any new games, just constant replays of the Arkham games, minecraft, and some pirated spideys

My fondest memory was buying an original Arkham Asylum disc practically on a whim. I didn't know shit about Batman back then, or much about video games either except the few spidey and flash games I played. But it was magical when I bought it and even though it ran like crap, it absolutely shaped me

yeah I agree with 90% of this but when I was a kid we had PlanetM which had so many music and movie dvds, and some physical game shops. Most sold pirated but very few did sell original games during the games for windows live era.It was harder to find original PC games than console but i remember.
