This makes me DOGE-level angry and afraid. Like, we all know that the tech bros are harvesting our personal data at every opportunity. But the fact that another human can feed your likeness to any sort of AI on a whim--and without your consent--has lifelong ramifications.

I imagine, if we ever had another fair election, that we'd solve the authoritarianism problem before we tackled healthcare. Like on Day 1, no more kings, then on Day 2 we fix healthcare.

Not remotely over, nor will it be for the foreseeable future. I just had it for the first time a few weeks ago. Very lucky I was able to quarantine for a full 10 days after my fever broke--I'm sure many employers wouldn't allow that anymore.

Clearly, though, a different set of circumstances than those of the ICE goon squad and their ilk. Assaulting and kidnapping legal residents of the US (while hiding one's own identity) is pretty obviously an overreach, and these guys absolutely know that and keep doing it anyway.
