It’s so sad. Netanyahu does not stand for all Jews. Trump does not stand for all Americans. That said, I remember the distrust and hatred many had for Germans for years after the war.

Why would we keep an agency people view as fundamentally corrupt and oppressive? The Gestapo is still the Gestapo even after “reforms.” Has anyone found any “good” ICE agents who save babies or help pregnant moms or feed the homeless?

I think there is still time, but it will take a gargantuan rebuke: Trump et al in prison, many new legislative guardrails, and a larger scotus that undoes presidential immunity. It’s safer to say that the old order we took for granted and gave Americans unparalleled advantages, is over.
