Some more of my knock off games in Braille. Game names and what they are cloning are in the alt text

Soon I'm going to release some knock off games in braille. I'm doing this because the accessibility kits are great but a pain to setup and a huge barrier to actual play. With these the end user just buys the game and it's already brailled.

By popular demand I'll soon be releasing Loteria. I'm pretty proud of how it looks and the fact that I designed 100 unique boards. The main set will have 20 but you can order the extra 80 if you want to have a huge game.

The finished Got 1 cards. We will be releasing this soon.

This is a video of my new plotter cutting out Dot 1 No Remorse, a... Game that could be compared to Uno except it has a Braille reference in the title.
No assembly required on this knock off... I mean completely original game.

I just finished my first full deck of Braille Rider tarot cards. We have been selling the accessibility set for years but this is printed on a thick card stock and no assembly required.

The cards feel really good and their quality is high. I expect it to retail around $40.

Whenever I see a urinal like this at a blind conference I say a prayer for the janitor that the signage will be enough

Exactly. He is asking for a specialized product. I'm sure you have the skills to make it if you had the measurements..
You don't.

Making some braille sharpies.

It fit. Now we only have to figure out how to work the damn thing.

It should let us cut out braille stickers and cards in massive batches.

This isnt the most expensive purchase we've made for 64 Oz but it is the one I'm least confident about making the money back with and it not being a disaster

This is my finger, covered in a super glue spill... This is particularly annoying because our bedroom door has a fingerprint lock(before we adopted we fostered and meds had to be locked up) so I can't get in my bedroom

I lasercut instructions directly into the wood so my students don't get confused.

They are labeled left and right side and 1,2, and 3.

I'm doing some job training skills with my students by building swing cells. This helps them get spacial skills and work on quality control to prepare them for the workforce. They can make mistakes in a low stress environment before they get to a real job site that would fire them.

I'm making a modified version of #HappySalmon with braille and large print for @emren.bsky.social 's Bolder outdoor program. I switched it up and replaced a card with cane tap and made it support 25 players.

I made a #DEI thing and I'm proud of how it turned out.

Really everything I do is #DEI.

Packing up a game of tactile #braille memory.

A library in Virgina ordered #catan so here I am #lasercutting out the #UVprinted #braille hexs.

Had an order of #MahJongg last night and I just lasercut it.

I still have no clue idea how to play it but I sell the only #braille version to the best of my knowledge

Haven't quite figured out this spinner yet.. attempt 4 is printing now.
February 4, 2025 at 1:40 AM
I was quite pleased with how the numbers worked though. PETG and PLA don't bond to each other so when we use them together one breaks off. But what I did here was make it so the internal geometry traps the PETG in, it is sandwiched by PLA so it can't come out even though it isn't bonded
February 3, 2025 at 9:18 PM
My first attempt to use PETG as support kinda failed.. but I think I was trying to be overly clever instead of using the slicer tools.

Here is a short clip of them being made. It takes about 2.5 hours for two at the settings I have it at. #braille #prusa #3dprinting
February 3, 2025 at 3:52 AM
Another thing I did with the 3d printer today is upgrade our Perkins finger dividers. These are used to teach #braille learners the proper finger placement when using a brailler they have had our logo for a while but now they are two colored so it pops..
