We've got two #RetroGaming events coming up this Friday at the #Corvallis branch of the @cbcpl.bsky.social.
An all-ages event from 1-3pm, and an adults-only event from 6-8pm.
We'll bring the classic consoles (from Pong to PlayStation), and the library will bring books, crafts, snacks, and more!

We filled a few display cases with #RetroGaming memorabilia at the @cbcpl.bsky.social as part of their "Level Up at Your Library" summer reading program.
Later in the summer, we'll help organize some gaming events at the libraries in #Corvallis, #Alsea, #Philomath, and #Monroe.
Three glass-front display cases filled with retro gaming consoles, controllers, and memorabilia. The first case has a Sega Genesis and controller on the top shelf, along with some Pac-Man artwork. On the bottom shelf is a Nintendo power glove, a VHS copy of The Wizard, a Nintendo Power magazine featuring Star Fox, some Mario artwork, and a portable CRT TV set. The next case has an NES Console and controller, a Famicom console and controller, a box for the Famicom, and a model of an NES console and TV set built from Lego. The last case has an Atari 2600 "heavy sixer" console, a PlayStation console, and a gold Nintendo 64 console. There are controllers and games for each of the systems.

We're excited to work with The Corvallis Museum for their upcoming event showcasing video game history on March 12th!
We curated a small collection of gaming artifacts which will be on display for the next few weeks.
On the 12th we'll set up an Atari 2600, an NES, and a Genesis for people to play.

Love it!
We just helped restore a damaged cabinet for one of these. Its now installed at a local independent theater.
I really love the artwork on the side of the cabinet.
A Crystal Caves cabinet in a crowded garage. The screen, marquee, and internals have been removed, and two men are assessing the damage to the cabinet. The same cabinet, still in the garage, but now reassembled and in use. The cabinet is now outside on the sidewalk. Three people admiring it. The side of the cabinet is visible and is covered with artwork depicting a blue and purple isometric castle and various characters which include a bear in a wizard hat, sentient trees, ghosts, a witch, etc. The restored cabinet installed in the lobby of the Pix Theater. On the wall next to the cabinet is a vintage neon sign with art deco styling which reads "PIX".

Plans are underway for next year's festival.
It will be held June 1 and 2, 2024, in the same location as last year, at the Benton County Fairgrounds.
