Village life changes slowly and almost unremarkably year on year, and that's what usually makes the f&p scriptwriting so brilliant. It’s enough of an event imo that Asra used pistachio in her cheese cake with raspberries- cf Jill's trad black forest (no need for celebs or drama) x

Everyone in work "pays in" but not everyone needs help from the state. The welfare debate needs to shift imo to payments/services based on need, rather than universal entitlement- including state pension.

My friend lived on the Heygate in the 90s . The flat was huge and it felt a safe place to live at that time.
