we see the trigger warning and we avoid engaging with the content. but it might be more beneficial to.

at the very least we need to engage in slightly disturbing content to expand our perspectives.

so at best, trigger warnings aren't helpful when you put them. and they even increase the negative emotional reaction of the people viewing the content because they anticipate it.

but my larger issue is the culture it created.
