My take - for what it it’s worth.
I imagine that if you haven’t read the book (which can also be quite tedious) this film probably seems incredibly slow and boring.
Having read the book I was surprised at how fast the film zipped by.

As a former coach, I was constantly surprised how often bad players ‘came good’. Their bodies are changing so much, so quickly. Their minds are the same. It’s an actual joy to see a kid who’s struggled, suddenly scoring goals ⚽️

My suspicion is that it would be better to have a list so short, that it could be committed to memory.

I remember the fuss when they changed the music on Eastenders. Trust me, it’s not worth the hassle.
