Most interestingly, they were never recorded as living in this reservoir, yet here they are.

First Pyramid Orchid of the year spotted (that tiny pink/purple flower in the middle) - it was over a ditch, so couldn’t get a better picture

This one is really nice - Sussex Pond pudding - it has a sweet pudding crust with a lemon in the middle - cooked whole, inside. It comes out really sweet and fragrant

Nature will reclaim an area faster than you think. Less than 100 years ago, this was an industrialised area. All that remains are a few rocks that were in the foundations of a mill 👍🏼
