I lost 60% of my sight from chicken pox. Now I have the opportunity to avoid becoming totally blind.

It's a "death cult" if ever there was one. The UK was about to be declared Measles free... not any more. Kids have died because of this. Because people would rather believe whatever some irresponsible celebrity or influencer tells them than find out the truth. Science has too many long words.

Those who have been sucked into the antivax misinformation abyss shouldn't be worried about catching COVID. The real concern is having to live with the knowledge that they were responsible for the death of a loved one.

I was a member of this community for 3 decades. 15 years ago, a handful of other members and I identified a user that was preying on the most vulnerable among us. We gathered sufficient evidence to force reluctant law enforcement into arresting and prosecuting them.

A significant number of applicants are initially knocked back, but an appeal is likely to succeed. Get the professionals to complete the forms on your behalf (you are incapacitated afterall). It essentially recognises you as being disabled rather than sick.

I only know because I battled the DWP personally. You might want to think about applying for PIP. You are eligible while studying, working or neither. With the support of mental health services, even receiving one of the two components at any level, could influence other benefits, deductions etc.

Initially, I thought that intelligence was in decline. In fact, the issue is decreased attention spans. Absorbing more than a headline and possibly a few sentences, is a rarity. Why are we surprised at the alarming acceptance of misinformation under such circumstances? Leave it to the idiot box!

I'm partially sighted and I can literally feel the strain caused by reading from a screen. The ease of reading a book is such that I can drift off to sleep.
One of the very few things I actively encouraged in my kids was an interest in reading. A book is a thing of beauty to be cherished.
