No, I think they use some sort of AI to create the vocal track. It’s a pretty good approximation of Thom Yorkes voice.

Of course, hence my use of quotations. GitHub was tainted the moment Microsoft took it over, so this news didn't amount to much to me. Except perhaps accelerated enshittification of GitHub.

Probably the news that GitHub is now becoming part of MS’ CoreAI team following the resignation of the GitHub CEO, so will no longer be “independent”.

Well I have only had it for a couple of weeks but it works well for me so far. But then again my requirements are simply step counting and no need for constant charging. The Bluetooth connectivity with time sync is a bonus.
