Blue suit and signature cheerful optimism.

Problems are why I have a job. Not a North State native, but I got here as soon as I could.
Any worth trying?

Duck Duck Go protects my privacy too well. I need that browser history to find things again.

I am reading Reaganland, and the politics of the Panama Canal get extensive treatment. If I'd heard it before, I had forgotten the line, "There is no Panama Canal. There is an American Canal in Panama."

Gotta be a new fight worth having, though.

Was there this summer and we just had an absolute ball. I can understand how it would be overwhelming to love there, but I wish I hadn't waited so long since my last visit!

She really has been everywhere.

My takeaway from your book was that taking no position is her specialty.

We are asked to vote all the time -- for school site council, whether to oppose the utility rate increase, who had the best door decor at the office Christmas party.

Nobody guilt-trips people about not voting for those.

Not to minimize the importance of government by the people, but there it is.

The notion that there were barriers to voting that kept people instead of them just not caring was always false.

I am an enthusiastic voter and always have been. Also know people who very deliberately don't care and are happy to let those who do make the decisions.

Some fans swear it tastes dramatically better.

Raw-milk cheeses --- definitely top shelf, if you can find them. Much easier to buy in France and they are hard to import because of finicky health regulations.

Not just free and open, but poetic! High standards for the Internet.

Happy first day of a new #CAleg session to those who celebrate!

I made a Starter Pack that I plan to maintain w/ all of the current session legislators: go.bsky.app/52JpVv6

If you see any that I missed (I used Digital Democracy from @calmatters.org to just search for each name) please let me know

Probably not any more, under the name, but California YIMBYs who ID as liberal but recognize the manifold ways the state screws up housing markets are hitting a classic neoliberal note.

There ought to be a holiday on Dec. 1 when lege staff can freely utter all the unexpressed thoughts they've been carrying around. The social media would be lit.

The name ID will last for a few months, but by '28 America will have decidedly moved on.

Fun stat especially given his first career.

I was scrolling the "Discover" tab and in 30 seconds saw four different accounts sharing the same cartoon of someone giving DJT the middle finger -- or two, actually.

Subtle political climate...
