I used to wonder why most OSR bloggers wrote posts so painfully basic that they seemed to be written exclusively for 9 year olds, but then discord added the server tags feature and I saw the capacity of the average user of the NSR server.

Starting a solo hex crawl based on a weird science fantasy setting I have been working on called Veyard, it's gonna be mostly procedurally generated. Gonna do this at a rate of 1 day per day and see how it goes. Time for the adventures of Lalit the Cunning.

I think I figured out how I want to handle monster sentience in my B/X zelda hexcrawl. They monsters started out essentially non sentient but over the past 3 years the monsters have started getting noticeably smarter.

I am thinking more about my big old B/X legend of zelda hex crawl I am working on, I want to write a dungeon for it but also I feel like I need to work on monsters first and hammer out how sentient a bokoblin is.
