I don’t think that account is actually run by anyone at the NYT. They just used the expose all of the NYT’s transphobia but sadly haven’t been active in months

It’s not like this term will appeal to anti trans activists and TERFs either since it includes the words “gender” and “care” which those people strongly oppose. So I’m not sure who the NYT is trying to appease with this language.
