Xavier's realized that he hasn't seen him much all day. When he spots him sitting alone that evening, he comes up beside him and gives him a hug, closing his eyes as he rests his head on his shoulder.
He sighs with relief; it's a rare moment of him needing love.

It seems the bat is practicing alchemy when one concoction goes wrong. A few drops too many results in an explosion!

Xavier looked up, trying to wipe off his wrists and face on a cloth he kept in his lab coat. "The tubing may be a little thin for the viscosity of the blood. The mechanism also may be trying to fire off too much at once."
He checks the main pump, disconnecting it. "Maybe we can weaken it a little."
