And that's a wrap for #adventofcode 2024! Thank you, @was.tl, for the effort you put into designing these puzzles. They are great! Merry Christmas!

Still on track for a sub-1-second solution for every #adventofcode challenge this year! Day 20 runs in less than a tenth of a second, and I see some room for improvement. (I have to stop, though, otherwise I wouldn't work at all :) )

Last year was my first #adventofcode, and I had several solutions that took several minutes to run. This year I'm on track to get sub 1-second solutions every day! Today's solution consistently runs in under 6 ms, which I'm very happy about. #binarysearch

Not gonna lie, I'm very proud of my #adventofcode solution for today (day 17). It's a rare problem for which I can execute Part 2 (including parsing) faster than part 1!

I did part 2 of today's #adventofcode problem in under two minutes! A new personal record! (But that's only because I don't read the description carefully and originally thought that's what part 1 wanted. :) )

I got a literal 10x performance improvement by changing this one line of code for Day 7 of #adventofcode.

The real reason I invite friends to my private leaderboard: to boost my 2015 scores (the only year I've 100%'d) #adventofcode

I was looking for programming-related feeds, and this was the only result for #cpp. 🤦 #programming #golang #rust #c

I spent a frustrating amount of time debugging my code before I realized I interpreted the logic of this expression from a paper incorrectly. I had to rederive the expression myself to realize they meant 1/cos(), not arccos(). #math #research

Here are some better images after the clouds floated away. I'm very happy with how these turned out only using my phone and eclipse glasses. #eclipse

Two images of the solar #eclipse. The blue image is a lens flare created by pointing my camera directly at the Sun. The orange image is pointing my camera at the Sun and using my eclipse glasses as a filter.
