Not out of trust or because the GOP has been a worthy steward of the people’s business, but to save their own asses in the midterm.

The pendulum is swinging hard away from Trumpism right now. A year of filibuster-free Trump policy would energize the left/middle & show his red state followers the undeniable truth. Going nuclear would likely end his cult.
