Adding to the "well, so much for EPSB standing up for kids" news today, apparently they've also sent out a form requiring confirmation of biological sex to play on girls' teams. Yegwave is a dodgy source, but I've heard confirmation elsewhere that teachers have been told they must use this form.

Well, the list of books being banned from EPSB is appalling. And it's very likely that an author on this list will get their other works pulled too, especially in the absence of teacher librarians.

Harvard has set an example for other higher-ed institutions - rejecting an unlawful and ham-handed attempt to stifle academic freedom, while taking steps to make sure students can benefit from an environment of intellectual inquiry, rigorous debate and mutual respect. Let’s hope others follow suit.
