Tried that now and also all other hints e.g. reinstalling, restarting, restarting the phone. And as for overclock to work reliably one has to restart the Ingress app every now an then, I did quite a few tests today 😅

the only thing I noticed is, that in very dense areas one still needs to scan the nearest portal, not the portal one is trying to overclock. So I think Ingress is loading the data for the nearest portal to the agents position?

I tested at least one of the reported portals every day and today all three I visited worked like a charm. Yeah! So is this a general fix, or do you need reports for every affected portal?
If Overclock isn't localizing at a specific Portal, if you send us an Intel Map link or a lat lng we can take a closer look. We're investigating a possibly related issue with VPS-enabled Portals that were added after we moved to Niantic Spatial.

I've posted that as a bug report, to reddit, scaniverse and wayfarer comms some weeks ago. Others confirmed the issue and the fact that you can scan any other portal where localizing works to overclock a portal affected by the bug.

The problem I reported seemed to be a temporarily outage. But I know a lot of portals that can't be localized in Ingress but do work in the Scaniverse App. So here you go:
