the whole terminology around atproto is just so confusing. firehose, relay, pds, repo..

most users are still at whim of bluesky (the company), though, right? because that's who hosts majority of PDSes at the moment..

i think i'm starting to get it

so if i someone wanted to make a custom bluesky relay, then the bluesky moderation will only be able to moderate on their own bsky.network relay

then the users will just have to configure their PDSes so that their firehoses also connect to my custom relay?

that's a good point, but it's a lot easier to ignore text adverts, at least for me
also i think it'll be funnier..
also it will use up less traffic!!

this here is just 393 bytes, compared to 400kb of the identical contents

look i'm obviously all in for funding open source projects, but putting the ad at the very top of an IMPORTANT DOCUMENT is just scummy, especially when it's for something as stupid as an "AI-powered terminal"

you want changes? - implement them yourself.
don't want to/can't implement them yourself? - support development and ask for these changes *nicely*

most terminal emulators nowadays support 24bit color codes with rgb specifications, so it doesn't REALLY matter what colors you choose for authenticity

limitation only matters in 8bit or 4bit modes..

i've been trying my best to maintain positivity lately, but it's becoming increasingly harder as all the horrible news become a lot harder to cope with

i'm really bad at managing my emotions because i don't recognize 90% of those, and everything horrible hits me way too hard
