I remembered the time the editor of a national magazine turned down my request to attend a conference but 2 days later said I had nice legs in front of a photographer in an elevator. 1993.
Dunno but I can tell you that, upon reading this headline, I suddenly remembered, for the first time in years, my first faculty meeting as a new biology professor in a department of men when I was asked to make coffee every morning. 😐

I’m lying. I think about that all the fucking time. It was 1990.
I wonder how all the women reporters and editors at the Times feel about this headline.
