Extra PS: my state (Massachusetts) has *the* best-protected parental leave in the US. Up to 26 weeks of no pay but can’t be fired, and an amount of money (about $1k/week) the state will cover.
And - that’s it. That’s the strongest law we have: $1k/week for 6-8 wks, unpaid leave for an extra 20
