So, to all those who encouraged me and taught me and patiently waited for me to be ready to show my work, thank you. Thank you for understanding how difficult it is as an artist with hyperphantasia to be brave.

Often times, we are far too shy or embarassed to show something that isn't exactly the way we imagined. This is the most commonly discussed difficulty of artists--but for me personally, it's because of my desire to replicate what I see due to my hyperphantasia.

Even if they meet other hyperhantisizers as they get older, nobody else will ever understand their own personal world. For a hyperphantasizer, the greatest joy would be to recreate their imagination as they see it in their own head. A joy I have been blessed with this year.

The Hyperphantasizer is the only one that can fully enjoy their inner imaginings. Many artists suffer from this loneliness. They and they alone can see, hear and 'interact' with the characters they create. I've met many hyperphantasizers who were bullied for this in school.

We often get stories of aphantasia, but there isn't enough discussion for Hyperphantasia and those who possess it--artists and non-artists. For either or, imagining vivid scenes full of life and color and sound is a very captivating and yet lonely experience. Yes, lonely.
