A beautiful pale pink poppy in bloom with an almost black centre and a pink poppy bud about to burst into flower. This plant has flowered, albeit fleetingly, in spring every year for at least the last 10 years, and gives me so much joy when it appears.

Mine favourite time too. Spring for me is when I my white lilac trees bloom in my garden.

Meet my cats Maggie & Lola
Maggie is a Norwegian Forest cross and a bit aloof sometimes. We had her as a kitten and she is now 14. Tends to be a Mummy's girl. Lola is a feisty torty who we adopted when she was 6. She is now 14 and a bit of a daddy's girl.
