Also it’s super helpful to have PMS color calling cards on design sheets bc factories are very bad at matching colors without them. (But small factories don’t use them so it’s better to find a well-known and big manu. But you can also get a color key book online for thread colors and match yourself)

And it is very helpful to photoshop a prototype picture to the way you want it to look like. Always ask for the digital embroidery pattern before they move onto the actual embroidery. Also very helpful to see the flat fabric after it is embroidered because you can find more issues when it is flat

Find a manu that’s big and well-known! Smaller factories might have better pricing and faster but often times they are just small studios calling themselves factories and they can pull out on you suddenly. Also it is generally advised to revise the prototypes for a couple of times
