Also while watching the Gilded Age, it brought to mind the thriving Black community, Seneca Village (1825-1857), that was destroyed & paved over to create Central Park. The Black population was displaced. Whites destroyed at least 60+ of such thriving Black communities. Black Wall Street, Rosewood.

Watching the Gilded Age after seeing clips. At the point of electric lights. Pleasantly surprised to hear Lewis Lattimer mentioned by a Black newspaper editor. A Black inventor that made electric lights usage possible by his invention of the long lasting filament. This was whitewashed from history.

There are some things for which children are too young to view. As a child my elder brother & sister & I would go to the movies every Saturday, no matter what was playing. I am now 10 days older than water and am scared shitless of vampires.
