Just to add to my previous post: here are some infographics on inflammatory bowel disease!

I think it's so important to spread awareness (and try to end stigma) about illnesses that aren't very well known, especially when it affects so many people.

And this is all just the tip of the iceberg!
An infographic from Crohn's & Colitis UK. 300,000 people in the UK have Crohn's disease or Ulcerative Colitis - the two main forms of inflammatory bowel disease. Every 30 minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with Crohn's or Colitis. 1 in 4 people newly diagnosed are under 16. Treatments can include medication, surgery and diet. It can cause: abdominal pain, diarrhoea, anaemia, depression, osteoporosis, weight loss, mouth ulcers, joint pain, fatigue, fistulas. Parts of the digestive system become swollen, inflamed and ulcerated. Crohn's Disease can affect any part of the digestive system. All layers of the bowel may be inflamed. Ulcerative Colitis affects the rectum and colon. Only the inner lining of the colon is inflamed. Possible causes: your genes, an abnormal reaction to the immune system to bacteria in the gut. Triggered by something in the environment. There is no known cure. What you need to know about Crohn's and Colitis. Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis are lifelong diseases of the gut. They are the two main forms of Inflammatory Bowel Disease. They develop when your immune system starts attacking your gut. But we don't know exactly what makes this happen. When your gut doesn't work, the consequences can be devastating. As well as your physical health, Crohn's and Colitis can impact your mental health, work, relationships and education. Symptoms don't just affect your gut, they can affect almost any part of the body. They can include: Frequent and urgent diarrhoea often with blood and mucus Severe pain Extreme fatigue Losing weight and not wanting to eat Swollen joints Mouth ulcers Crohn's and colitis affect many people, all over the UK. More than 500,000 people in the UK are living with Crohn's or Colitis. That's 1 in every 123 people. Many people are diagnosed before the age of 30. Around 1 in 4 people with Crohn's or Colitis are diagnosed before they're 30. This means young people can experience effects on their development as well as their relationships, education and work prospects. There is no known cure for Crohn's or Colitis. Right now there is no cure for Crohn's or Colitis. Medicines and sometimes surgery can help keep the conditions under control. People may have some periods of good health and other times when symptoms are more difficult to manage. Because of the stigma and misunderstanding surrounding these conditions, thousands of people are suffering in silence.

So I named my New Leaf town Luna Bay 🐚

The person who owned the game before me was called meg and their town was just called "new leaf" 😅

Took me 6 restarts to get apples and a map I was happy with!

My starter villagers are Nana, Cookie, Greta, Elmer and Kid Cat

People are setting off fireworks like 30 metres in front of our house 🙃

Luckily our cat isn't really phased by it - she grew up in Birmingham for the first 2 years of her life where there were fireworks being set off most nights
