Some of my favorite homes seen along the historic landmark corridor in Madison, Indiana.

The Lanier Mansion in Madison, Indiana. The home was built in 1844 by railroad entrepreneur James F. D. Lanier who lived in Madison and later moved to New York City. His children continued living in the home and it was gifted to the State of Indiana.

Madison, Indiana’s Presbyterian Church (Presbyterian Church USA). According to Visit Madison, Inc., the building was built in 1847 in the Greek Revival style with a Baroque-style bell tower.

Historic Madison, Indiana’s Trinity United Methodist Church. The church was founded in 1811 and the cornerstone foundation of the building was set in 1873. The bell tower is 212 feet high.
