It felt a bit repetitive to me especially when watched right after the second one, alot of similar beats were shown. Captured, break out, captured, break out, whale battle, etc, quaritch escapes, But I enjoyed it still.

Quarritch was down BAD for that

It was pretty intense although I was expecting some deaths and there weren't any. I liked how it continued their character arcs in a believable way.
