I have a similar drawer that I did with gridfinity. I intended to come back and finish replacing the green organizer but it works as is, so it's fallen to the back burner.

Created a prototype today for a tool storage concept. The idea is to have panels that can be hung either on the wall in the workshop or be placed into a toolbox to take on the go.

When you're heading out, you take a look at the wall and pick which panels to put in the toolbox, and you're off!

It's been about a week, and it seems like it worked great! No rattling, the prints feel amazing - a really nice premium-feeling weight to them.

There is a little bit of rust forming (see pic). It could potentially grow to the extent that it tries to push out of the print, but I doubt it.

Trying a new method of using a slurry of steel shot mixed with caulking to add weight to 3D prints. Not very easy to work with, but it seems like it will work. Will have to wait and see how it cures.

Super happy with this project. The keyboard is the Scylla by bastardkb.com And I designed custom quick-release plates and custom stands. This was my first time creating 3d-printed springs, and they work great!

Getting tolerances right is not easy, but I'm getting better at it.

My 3-year-old nephew wanted to give his dad a model of his old car to him for Father's day, so I helped him out! It's a Pontiac Grand Prix.

How would you have designed this project? I think the center seam turned out okay, but there are lots of ways you could do it.

Custom grip for Logitech vertical mouse. The stock mouse doesn't support your palm at all, but I find it quite comfortable now.

This was very tough to do with the tools I have, took several prints to get the fit right, and still had to file down some parts.

Really happy how this turned out! The glassware came from goodwill, and I found two of each piece so I can swap them out and throw them in the dishwasher. The 3D printed parts don't touch the water at all, there's a silicone drinking straw that runs from the pump up through the spout.

A fairly mundane print, but I think it came out well! And it installs by slipping between the countertop and the vanity and clamping from behind, so no holes left behind if it's removed. This was also my first time using heat-set thread inserts!

I retired my laptop from being my daily driver, but I wanted to keep it useful, so I took the guts out and re-housed them in a 3D printed case that I designed myself.

This is another example of using other materials in a 3D printed project. The side panels are hardboard.

Using 3D printed parts along with other fabrication techniques is powerful. I think a lot of people only think of 3D printing as a standalone thing. But it's a tool to be used along with your other tools.
These tiny little brackets allowed me to easily hide all the screws on this side table I built.

One of the first things I printed. The original handle was cracked and falling apart. Kept it out of the landfill, and didn't have to buy a new one!
