I think it’s clear there’s still a barrier of price and availability to new players but once it’s conquered the majority of them, especially younger, are far more suited to the game. Older players have gripes and bad habits and didn’t grow with half the resources or barriers.

If there’s any consolation, I think newer players have a huge advantage; the availability of resources, widespread socials and fairly connected national communities means even a novice can rapidly improve. Meanwhile, (not saying this is you) older players get comfy with the skill level they develop>
