What are you going to do, give it to people that didn’t grow the affected crop? Quality of soil, weather etc. affect the yield.

There can be a big difference in yield per acre depending on a lot of factors but yes if you plant more acres then you probably produce more crop.

It’s not based on the size of the farm but yield history and acreage. So yes smaller farms will get money based on what they’ve grown.

How it is given out is based on yield history of the crop and acreage of the specific crop so not on farm size in general.
