Yeah, I think minor hail damage is likely our only issue. We lost power at about midnight and it’s still out, so I’m anxiously sitting around hoping it comes back on soon. I just refilled my insulin on Thursday, so I have thousands of dollars of insulin in my refrigerator

I was driving back to STL from Chicago and *almost* made it before the worst of the storms hit. Instead I ended up hitting Litchfield right before the tornado warnings hit. It was nasty out there.

I think there were a few things that contributed to that, but these 2 are the ones I feel had the biggest impact.
- The Kamala HQ staff were mostly the same staff members who worked for Biden HQ up until he dropped out
- I couldn’t find any staffers who had previously worked as organizers

Ostensibly a game for children under the age of 16, but there are some people older who also play. Most of those lie about their age, I assume

Ugh. I want a permanent DST so bad. In the winter, the sun goes down at about 4:15 in Chicago. It’s miserable

I’m a little bit hopeful for the DNC in general because David Hogg is now a vice chair. It’s not as good as it would be if the politicians themselves each had someone, but hopefully he can start something

And they make some really cute masks now. I have KN95s that are pink, blue, any colors. But I also have patterns like stars or rainbow hearts. I can absolutely match my mask to my clothes. And Sip Valves have made it possible for my immunocompromised self to go to concerts, hydrate, and not get sick

Truly, the insurance we should model a single payer after is Medicaid. The price paid to doctors and other medical providers needs to be increased, and the price paid to drug manufacturers needs to be decreased, but Medicaid is the superior program overall. And for goodness sake can we add dental?
