In an ideal world (to me) things would be changed so that Rean has a canon partner, a couple of classmates/students pair up. Kurt & Juna, and Laura & Fie for instance. A few of the rest get romance arcs with NPCs like Gaius did, and the remainder are either not interested or too busy for a romance.

My biggest issue is how it prevents them from doing romance plots with like 50% of the cast. I think the little side romances they have with Gaius for instance, are really cute! And I wish they could do stuff like that with the female cast members...

Oh that's really good to hear. I've not yet started daybreak but that was maybe my biggest issue with CS
