Personally, I’d drop the first two words and still agree. Leave it to the professionals at community shows!

Especially as your kiddo’s teacher is in the best place to answer your question.

It may be due to a lack of alignment between the standards assessed in the classroom, the district assessments, and the state assessments. Or (and this is personal experience) it may be pressure and fear for the state assessment. If you can go to teacher conferences, this is a great question to ask!
