Not everyone is a 300k player. Simple as. Isak is considered one of the top 3 players in his position. Our other players are not in that bracket (as much as I love them!), so there has to be an acceptance that it’s not all about giving every player the same/similar wages.

The fee would have been more like £40m, but even at that price, for his age, England international, confident, desire to play for us…should have wrapped that up immediately instead of haggling over a few mill in transfer fee

Yes, no, yes. Would be happy with Sesko and Wissa being brought in with Isak out, with change to spare. Would use that for a keeper (Trafford), CB, and persistent unsettling of any Liverpool players until the window shuts. Eg Elliot

Leaving it late is not good though. Late bid for Elanga last summer left us without until an earlier move now. Getting the team to gel during pre-season is key. Would much rather all need-positions were filled and we shut up shop and said no more deals, turning focus towards training.

100%. Ashley’s running of our club will be one of his stupidest business decisions ever. No one was even asking for his own money to be put into the club…just actually run it like you care! Complete and utter negligence, not to mention all the free/cheap advertising he got out of the club.

Hmm maybe best to swerve that in that case lol. Just mental to have the richest owners in football yet being unable to pay our players close to what other clubs are willing to pay.

That’s what I meant. Set salary from the club, bonuses, appearance fees etc - standard stuff. Then they can have additional guarantees from elsewhere like I think Neymar had in promoting Saudi (some ludicrous 400k per post 😵💫)

It’s friendly #1… Haaland didn’t feature in the first 1-2 friendlies for Man City 2023-24 pre-season. If we can’t throw Osula in for these kind of games what’s the point in having friendlies? They’re for experimentation and fitness. #NUFC

- DCL if on a relatively cheap contract would be a reasonable replacement for Wilson.
- Just double Isak’s salary, he deserves it.
- Go for Sesko instead, he’s better than Ekitike anyway.
- Get Amanda Staveley in as CEO.
