My primaris force has been on giant experiment in trying to make a pile of the same models look different, basically the opposite of the Necron force I was building that resulted in a bunch of extra Marines.

I did try playing and painting Death Guard but I just never got the look I wanted. Maybe I should try to get more of the old school HH white-ish grey into them.

Still wasn't sure about collecting Primaris so I just messed around with some other projects. Mostly orks
Sister came out with the flying pulpit so I stole it for Chaos, painted the best model ever. Mostly trying to use The Pinkest Pink and other pigments from Culture Hustle.

So after a several year hiatus where I was too busy (and poor) to do any collecting I got a job with a coworker that was into 8th edition and we split the 9th box as he didn't want the Primaris. I didn't really either as I was using the HH Marines to add bulk to my Chaos forces. But oh well.

So things got progressively weirder in college as I started converting.
Now I won't say I was the first to do this, but I made the deffknight the month it was released the first time in 3rd edition. I bought it from MiniWarGaming back when they were just a simple store and not an empire.

Ok so #myfirstwarhammer my collection is thirty years old but I am pretty sure the silver boy was painted back in 2nd edition just from aging on the black shoulder pads.
