Oh, come on now. Recall that the irresponsible GM declared bankruptcy in the 2008/9 recession and got bailed out by you and me (the guv'mint). Lots of their investors and employees got hosed. Ford had the decency to suck it up and borrow money and make it out pretty much on their own.

Did you even read the 10th Executive Order? It erased a Youngkin directive for PD to support ICE (and the like) and get back to actual policing.

You say "fantasy"; I say "ideal". The founders and architects of America were, in some ways idealists, but they were also pragmatic. They saw a way forward, but had to deal with the ground truth that had formed from 1607 on. And, yes, some were slave owners; most were not.

You sure show your ignorance of Virginia politics. We are, at best, purple, with most/all of central and SW VA being bright red, with enough blue cities and counties to bring a little bit of reason to the Commonwealth.
