We have a 9x10 kennel within our new fencing, used when fence gates must be open. All yard gates are kept padlocked. The most used yard gate will be double gated when we get time.

After 50 yrs of being continuously owned by huskies, I've learned what works and what doesn't, what colors not to buy, etc. I've also accepted that excess floof in our house is either a fashion statement or a condiment.

We just had to get a permit to put up a simple fence. And a 4x10 extension on a deck. Oh, yes, and a non-accessible ramp inside the fence.

Hi, Karls! Shadow & Storm here! You're gonna love your new fence! Mom & Dad just finished ours and now we can run and play! And spy on neighbors down the street and watch out for BEARS! Fences make things so much funner! Congrats! We're happy it's your turn to get one!

It looks good! I'm sure it'll do well under your care. On an unrelated note, I made a new home for my Spidey, who had outgrown her small pot much sooner than expected and also started having babies and needed to be hung up.

Sorry about Alec. We just installed our $2 pee posts, made from salvaged plastic water lines. (Dogs don't care what pee posts look like.) You could use anything, even a patch of unmowed grass.

Beautiful! We just planted ours! We're so excited! Our new house has no curb appeal so we hope this will help, eventually. When we get time we plan to cover the tire planters with cedar planks. We have a frost advisory here for tonight, expected low 34⁰.

We made 6 from free ditch-picked plastic pipes for our annointer. They slide over little, cheap, easy to remove fence posts. Our boy doesn't care what he waters. Anything elevated will do. 🤣

Somebody photobombed my plant hanger pic.

Really pretty, Jennifer! Beautifully stitched. My current distraction is macramé. It does help to change focus.

Maybe that explains why these are always all around our house, frequently just arm's length away. Perhaps their screaming is a warning, or a cry for help. 😂

Thanks. We actually have 2 huskies, boy and girl. I'm enjoying relearning macramé. Here's the one I finished last night, complete with the little photobomber on the left. We're never alone living in the woods. 😂

I've been rediscovering macramé after about 50 yrs of not doing any. New house needs new plant hangers! No pic of last night's project, but here's one from earlier this month, before fringe got trimmed. Sorry for dark picture.

Can't wait to see pics! I love DIY, mine or anyone else's. Our house is on 2 lots with a 3rd empty lot down a short steep slope. We're developing the 3rd lot for dog yard & garden and the ramp is part of that. It's unsafe going up and down the slope with no steps or ramp. See alt text.

Here, too. Luckily I'm on a macramé binge which will keep me entertained all day. Frustrating, though. We're supposed to be building a 14' ramp.

Wear a mask if you have to be outside. It was horrible up here on the Range yesterday. The little island in this pic is ⅓ of a mile offshore, the far shore maybe a half mile.

Same here, only it arrived Friday night and is supposed to depart Monday morning. It's bad. Stay inside if you can, wear a mask if you can't.

I successfully marked and cut the weird angles for our ramp stringers today, not the stuff of nightmare news. 🙂

You'd love watching our DIY shenanigans this summer, though a UFO is surely more entertaining. We've put up part of a dog yard fence, 2 steel sheds, and now working on a dog ramp for their yard. Also major repairs to greenhouse, too. More to do before winter. Ramp landing framed today.

Mine came from Mount Saint Helen's Sculptures in Seattle.

I usually use either vintage Corningware single serve casseroles or vintage Tupperware Square Rounds. They stack well. The T-ware fits in the door and won't fall out. I think the main thing is not to mix sizes and shapes of dishes so they waste space by not stacking.

I hope tomorrow is better for you. I can relate to the sore joints but I'm a lot older than you and we just spent 3 days making this appear in our yard. We're too old for this crap!

I didn't know what tool to use to cut zip ties without leaving sharp ends till your post. Thanks! I found a cheap one at Menards but hadn't bought it yet. Today at a garage sale I found one for 50 cents! I was especially excited because it's a KLEIN! My very first Klein tool! Woohoo!

Our Shadow is always nearby to assist with any potentially dangerous TFOC (Things Falling Off Counters) incidents that may occur. She wants to prevent us from getting any back strain from bending over to pick up said items. Such a thoughtful girl!
