O.4% of the population is a member of the active armed forces. Only two branches of the 5 branches are trained for on the ground warfare. Army/Marines at 42% about 600,000 troops. At best, that's not enough troops to control a population 340 million US citizens.

It's going to be a little bit tougher to do when your military makes up only 0.4% of the population. Not to mention that number is broken up into.. Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Gaurd, and *Space Force. Trump is creating an unsupportive logistical nightmare.
