Seen at a play I went to today. It was an interpretation of “much ado about nothing” as a 1940’s radio production. And this was on the wall of the “studio”.

I always hate the “be seen” parts of “see be seen” signage. Dammit, if someone is using 2 tons of metal and plastic to carry a quart of milk home, they should be held to task more than the person walking home with their own quart of milk.
This sounds like predator and prey. Quite factual.

Yay!!! #Nature teaches us that monocultures are risky and costly, and diversity is #resilient and able to evolve and sustain in cooperation (less costly). Thanks to #AIA25 for elevating #diversity in #business, in #education, and in #projects.

I went to a UU service today (for me, church without churchiness). And it was a #flower service, about beauty. Not idealized or stagnant #beauty, but the changing beauty in all things, and how awakening to this will empower us in times such as this. I brought an iris, and received a lupin!

THIS is transformative. It is possible and hugely beneficial to swap straw #insulation into a project and eliminate the egregious #foam options. And also save operational carbon while drawing down and storing carbon in the materials.

This is not meant to push us away from existing building decarb and adaptive reuse! New buildings will (maybe always) have a significant #embodied #carbon burden. Existing Bldg retasking can avoid 50-80% of that upfront burden.
